Saxperience Academy, one-year saxophone course provides basic music education for beginners of all ages as well as advanced education and training for future professionals of classical and jazz/pop saxophone.

Saxperience Academy is intended for complete beginners, as well as advanced saxophonists who want to improve their playing technique. Classes are held in the premises of the “UK Parobrod” - Cultural Center of the municipality of Stari grad, Kapetan Mišina 6a street, Belgrade and the curriculum is formed according to the wishes and level of knowledge of students. The Saxperience Academy is a one-year course divided into two semesters: from September to January and from February to June. After the final concert in June, the student received a diploma on the completion of a one-year basic or advanced course. Saxperience Academy course participants begin in September.

The annual Saxperience Academy program includes the following:

40 individual lessons of saxophone

Book for saxophone and teaching aids

Professional support during the course

Performance of participants at the final concert

Diploma of attending a one-year saxophone course

CLASSIC SAXOPHONE

The course is intended for beginners who want to master reading notes and basic saxophone playing techniques, as well as advanced saxophonists, who want to expand their knowledge and improve their playing technique. Attendees will master the classical technique of playing, reading notes and working on selected compositions.

JAZZ/POP SAXOPHONE

The course is intended for beginners and advanced students who aspire to learn the application of the saxophone in the band. Participants will acquire knowledge in the field of jazz/pop saxophone sound settings and accompanying technical education on examples from different music genres: pop-rock, funk, house, fusion, reggae.

How long do the classes last and what is the price?

Saxophone classes are individual and are held once a week or four times a month for 45 minutes. Each participant receives a textbook, as well as the opportunity to attend workshops and concerts within the Belgrade Saxperience festival. Beginner participants should provide themselves with the instrument, and we provide our advisory assistance and expert assessment of the instrument that the student intends to purchase and use during the course. The price of attending the Saxperience Acedemy course is

Basic course: 100 EUR per month or 500 EUR per semester.

Advanced course: 120 EUR per month or 600 EUR per semester.

Price of one hour: primary school 25 EUR / secondary school and academy 30 EUR.
